EAAS (Advancing European and East Asian humanistic-scientific cross-cutting research in AI and Society) is a strategic research collaboration between College of Social Sciences, H3S Faculty (Humanities, Health, Sport, Society), and Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences. Launched in 2025 as a laureate of the NTU-UGA-UT Trilateral Center, this project investigates the relationship between Artificial intelligence and society from multiple perspectives, with a fundamental perspective of the humanities and social sciences.
By pooling their expertise in Social sciences, they are conducting empirical research focusing on issues such as legal restrictions on the introduction of digital technology and the general public's sense of anxiety toward digital technology.
Together, they are not just conducting research; they are building the scalable frameworks needed for a more harmonious and human-centric digital future.

Tangible Results
The most tangible result of this program is that we have identified a double degree Ph.D. Candidate for UT/UGA. We have also been able to provide concrete exchange between students at the graduate level for academic cooperation, that have the potential to build new bridges between all universities involved. I have been able to bridge and bond with many graduate students and researchers from the University of Tsukuba and Université Grenoble Alpes and observe/understand the architecture of this program. As the director of the new master’s program in Leadership and Management at the School of Political Science and Economics, I will implement the cross-disciplinary research to the curriculum of this new program with students and faculty participating in the trilateral collaboration.
